“I felt your presence in a dream of your forest’s future,” he says this as if he had proof, but all he really had to go off of were the riddles of the fae from then. “when it was free of the Cwyld. Do you remember that?”

“Somewhere in between.” he’ll confirm that. “The last I found you, you were petrified. More stone than dragon, infection webbing like moss on the surface— is that why you’re sleeping?”

She stands, towering high against the canopy of the surrounding forest, and swishes her tail as she turns.
"Come. I will show thou what must be done, for thou has come to wake me, hath thou not?"
There's this gut feeling that comes with it, that it isn't going to be anything easy, but she's eager now that she's been found; Ishmael, for his part, reaches out to touch Eren's arm, and mentions that staying too long would risk them never leaving. As fair warning.

So, with that, he immediately follows her and replies with “yes— it’ll help fight back the cwyld too, won’t it?”

It stands tall with scarred bark, with evidence of ages past in the knots and healed burns, dark wood branching off into pine-scented leaves, though they're clearly not needles. Créia slows as she reaches the trunk, half as wide as she is, and presses her claws against the bark.
"... This tree," she says, "hath an ill feeling about it in thy waking world. Mine brethren of sky and sea have treasures of their own, but thou see here that which holds mine own soul; find a way to free it of this curse and thou wilt free myself as well. Find mine brethren and see to them as well, and thou wilt be one step closer to the safety of thy world."
Threes, as ever. Ishmael studies the tree, and mentions that there's a large sort mentioned in song and tale, south of their northern most sister city, though obviously he can't say for certain one way or another if it's the same. The trees are always bigger where the leylines pool.

once they’re there, eren will be sure to glance with immense awe. has he seen a tree like this back home–? not that he remembers, but there’s still an urging feeling that he has. eren scents, tastes, gets a good look at it to remember, and takes all clues given into account.
“you have my word,” eren would say. “we’ll free you and your brothers, and give your home a fighting chance, the same way it’ll give us our own”.
and, one more thing, before their time here ticks to an end: “will ridding the cwyld growing on you help?”

"Yes," she replies. "Yes, it is mine belief that it would."
Ishmael, having somewhat enjoyed the trip here, asks Eren if he had anything else to ask, or if he would be satisfied for now; since they have her signature, as it were, they would be able to more easily find her the next, and so this wouldn't have to be the last they spoke.

not without eren bowing his head, with a considerable amount of respect, and thanking the guardian for speaking with him. he’ll try his absolute best to help her.

This'll be shortly before they Wake from the shrooms effects, and he'll be given a drink to clear the rest of the magic from his system so he isn't wandering on his own later that night.
