Character(s): Yako Katsuragi
Information: Following this conversation with Eren, Yako will look into what she can find out about two witches that died during an (alleged) expedition to Dewaint Forest: Anaïs Thrush and Oliver Moore!
Primarily she'll be doing so by:
1: asking Yvette Tressa, the Witch who was leading the first Smugha Cave expedition, to see if the Wilders keep any records of previous expeditions
2: asking Miss Nessie if either name is familiar to her, and mention briefly that it's come up in the context of Dewaint Forest
3: asking Ser MacAlpine if they've ever heard of Sully Stitcher and an expedition to Dewaint that's gone sideways like that

2) Miss Nessie thinks she has, but says she'll have to double-check to be sure - and that is a Process, considering the number of records to look through.
3) Ser MacAlpine has heard of the Dewaint expedition - was, in fact, a child when the expedition came to an end. Lasted about two years. If this Sully Stitcher was a member of the expedition, they've never heard of them. (If Yako knows/explains that she's a Monster, they'll ruefully point out that makes sense; Monster names aren't often published in these sort of situations.) They do know of the two "survivors," and what few results the expedition itself brought. The best result was, perhaps, the fact that trips out to the Wilde proper, and attempts to get into the heart of it, were from then on left to the people trained to survive it better.

In any case, as far as the conversation with Ser MacAlpine goes, she would have indeed mentioned Sully being a Monster and regretfully agree that not including monsters on the records checks out. Yako looks a bit worried about that, but she'll go on to ask Ser MacAlpine for some clarification: what do they know about the two "survivors" and what the expedition found? She's heard at least Moore has surviving family still in the city, bonded to a Puca -- has Ser MacAlpne ever spoken to her?

The two survivors, they'd say, left full of heart and hope, just like anyone else, and came back less.
Less with their minds, less with their magic. Couldn't use a single bit of it after that -- be it their own choice or because it was taken from them, they Ser MacAlpine couldn't say -- but didn't suffer consequence from it, surprisingly enough. Lived out what years they had left and became notation in history, a hard lesson learned. The expedition found the a creature beyond imagination, a Cwyldtid bigger than they'd ever seen, with not a trait belonging to any kind of being -- be they person or Monster -- recognizable on sight. Oh, that's what pushed them back into their own lanes, but the memory must've seared itself into the minds of all who'd seen it... In any case, the heart's impossible to save at the moment, which means the leylines are untouchable as well, and seeing that the root of Geardagas's magic hails from the thickest of the woods basing theories on how the lines lay.... Well.
Maybe it's just a matter of time before Aefenglom's swallowed up too, they muse, before shaking the pessimistic thought away. No need to invite that onto their doorstep.
On the topic of Moore's little girl, they have! Puca and Faun are alike in their love of nature, so they get along well enough when the pair comes for tea. Oh, but it's not history they speak of, nor the leylines that Yako first came to them about, but just how her studies are going and the like. Ser MacAlpine doesn't know if the girl -- Alissa, Alissa Moore -- even knows of her grand's involvement, but she might have a tale or two passed down the family line.
